Co-parenting Counseling
Navigating the challenges of coparenting can feel overwhelming, but with the right guidance, it’s possible to create a supportive and harmonious environment for everyone involved, especially your children.
As a court-appointed evaluator, I see where communication breaks down. I help you fix it before it gets there.
Co-Parenting: Making the Transition Work
When a relationship ends, the parenting relationship is just beginning. It can be incredibly difficult to separate your past history with your partner from the "business" of raising your children together.
My approach to co-parenting counseling is different because of my background as a child custody evaluator. I’ve spent years seeing exactly where communication breaks down and how that affects children long-term. I use that insight to help you skip the trial-and-error and get straight to what works.
What we focus on:
We don’t spend our time rehashing old arguments. Instead, we look at the logistics of your daily life:
The "Business" of Parenting: How to communicate and make decisions without it turning into a fight.
Two Homes, One Front: Creating a sense of consistency for your kids so they don’t feel caught in the middle.
Clear Boundaries: Setting "rules of engagement" so you both know what to expect from one another.
A Note on Accountability & The Court
This is a brief, solution-focused style of therapy. My job is to hold both parents accountable to the goals we set.
Because I understand the legal side of these transitions, I am available to communicate with the court. If requested, I can submit written reports or provide testimony to ensure the progress you’re making in the room is recognized in your legal case.
